The role – Technical Compliance Coordinator
Fresh People are recruiting for a Technical Compliance Coordinator for an established and respected company within the UK fresh produce industry based near Maidstone in Kent. This company is a market leader in the sourcing, production, and distribution of fresh produce to top-tier UK retailers.
As they continue to evolve their compliance and sustainability standards, they are now seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about technical integrity, food safety, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with suppliers to collect and review due diligence documentation
- Upload and manage data on both internal and customer compliance platforms
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and monitor performance across supply periods
- Manage chemical surveillance testing for inbound product
- Conduct traceability and recall exercises as needed
- Maintain and update supplier approval lists
- Collate and trend environmental data including food waste, carbon emissions, and sustainability metrics
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Degree educated, preferably in Food Science, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, and ideally Power BI
- Experience with online sustainability or compliance platforms
- Strong project management, organisational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large data sets
- Self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a wider team
