Senior Tax Adviser
Fresh People are recruiting for an experienced Senior Tax Adviser to join a highly respected chartered accountancy and advisory firm based in Canterbury.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to strengthen their established tax team with an experienced tax professional who can provide commercially focused advice across a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
This is an advisory-led position offering a blend of tax advisory and compliance work, with the opportunity to work closely with Partners on complex tax planning projects and transactions.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate and/or personal tax clients
- Providing high-quality tax planning and structuring advice
- Reviewing complex tax computations and returns
- Advising on corporate restructuring and shareholder planning
- Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning
- Business succession planning
- Supporting Partners on advisory projects and transactions
- Developing strong, long-term client relationships
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the tax team
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- CTA qualification preferred
- ACA/ICAEW qualification also considered with strong tax experience
- Proven experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge across corporate and/or personal tax
- Genuine advisory experience rather than a purely compliance-based background
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- A commercial approach with the ability to identify opportunities for clients
