Senior Regional Finance Manager- South West

Fresh People are currently recruiting for a CIMA Qualified Senior RFM for a Fresh produce Wholesale division covering the South West region reporting into Head of Finance. The role will be home based working closely with the Branch Managers providing management accounting, forecasting, commercial analysis and decision support. This role will involve managing and developing Regional FM’s and Branch Accountants deputising for HOF.

The Person

  • CIMA Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience gained within FMCG, Manufacturing or Logistics environment
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, commercially driven environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience of working in a product-led industry
  • Leading process improvements and managing change
  • Multi-site experience preferred
  • System development & implementation skills
  • Demonstrable experience of process improvement and stakeholder management
  • Experience of influencing non-Finance colleagues

Key Regional Responsibilities

  • Support, challenge, and provide insight to the Managers of each site
  • Monthly & Quarterly forecasts
  • Annual budgets
  • Variance analysis
  • KPI Management
  • Identifying risks and opportunities
  • Challenge, the budget/forecast assumptions and KPIs
  • Provision of Monthly Review Packs
  • Monthly Branch Review Meetings
  • Business Performance Variances
  • Consignment Reconciliation & analysis
  • Margin Management
  • Capital expenditure proposals
  • Attend Monthly stock takes

Division responsibilities

  • Management of Regional Finance Managers and Branch Accountants
  • Develop and manage team performance through regular reviews and objective setting
  • Standardise financial and reporting processes across the Wholesale Markets division
  • Support the Head of Finance as required through analysis and project activity

Compliance responsibilities

  • Working in accordance with SOX internal control framework to minimise risk and ensure transparency
  • Maintain strong financial controls across all areas
  • Ensure that all company policies and statutory requirements are adhered to
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Ensuring tasks are evidenced and saved in accordance with delegation of authority matrix in timely manner
  • Ensure segregation of duties within branches are aligned with the control framework
