Are you experienced in quality control within fresh produce and looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking Quality Controller’s to join a fast-paced and dynamic fresh produce business, ensuring that all products meet customer and retailer specifications across intake, storage, and packing operations.
This is a shift-based role, working 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shifts days & nights available.
- Carry out intake inspections on inbound fruit, ensuring compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
- Record and report findings accurately, including arrival reports and photographic records.
- Monitor stock condition, shelf-life, and temperature protocols, escalating issues promptly where required.
- Oversee packing line operations, ensuring all quality standards and retailer specifications are consistently met.
- Complete line sheets, weight checks, and documentation to the highest standard.
- Support product trials, shelf-life testing, and packaging evaluations.
- Authorise positive release once all checks have been successfully completed.
- Work collaboratively within the QC team to maintain compliance with food safety and retailer standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in quality control, intake, or stock handling within fresh produce.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to apply standards consistently.
- IT literate, with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and data entry systems.
- Organised, methodical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Desirable: HACCP awareness or formal food safety training.
