QC Team Leader

Fresh People are recruiting for a well-established fresh produce operation based in Tonbridge, operating within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Due to continued growth, a QC Team Leader is required to join the Quality team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to progress within quality management and leadership in a hands-on operational role.

The Role

As QC Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the quality team to ensure fruit inspections are completed to a high standard while meeting daily operational volumes and company compliance requirements.

You will support the Quality Manager and deputise in their absence, ensuring quality standards are maintained across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the QC team to deliver daily fruit quality inspections in line with site standards
• Ensure compliance with company and customer quality requirements across site
• Communicate quality information and updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Support training and development of quality team members
• Manage labour allocation within the QC function
• Monitor and maintain audit and compliance standards
• Work across temperature-controlled environments following all PPE and safety procedures
• Support continuous improvement of quality processes and standards
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and records

About You

• Previous experience within a fresh produce, food production, or manufacturing environment
• Experience supervising or leading a team is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider operational team
• Hands-on approach — this is an operational floor-based role, not desk-based
• Own transport required due to location

Shift Pattern

4 on / 3 off fixed shift pattern

Average 44 hours per week
