Fresh People are recruiting for a well-established fresh produce business based in Maidstone, Kent, operating within a fast-paced and time-critical FMCG supply chain.

Due to continued growth and operational demand, a Procurement Coordinator is required to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on role supporting procurement and commercial teams to ensure effective supply chain coordination, stock accuracy, and supplier performance within a fresh produce environment.

The Role

As Procurement Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day running of the fresh produce supply chain, working closely with growers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate planning, stock management, and service delivery.

You will play a key role in maintaining supplier load plans, managing purchase orders, supporting pricing and costing, and ensuring accurate data across systems to support operational and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Managers with the day-to-day running of the fresh produce supply chain
• Set up and manage Purchase Orders within the Prophet ERP system
• Build and maintain supplier load plans, adjusting orders to maximise service levels
• Liaise with growers to confirm volumes, arrival dates, and product varieties
• Work closely with logistics and planning teams to maintain accurate stock positions
• Maintain master arrivals data and support seasonal reviews
• Produce weekly pricing and costing models accurately and on time
• Prepare grower finalisations and returns
• Process fruit cost invoices as required
• Work with Commercial and IT teams to support process improvements
• Support operational communication across sales, technical, and stock teams
• Participate in a weekend rota as required

About You

• Previous experience within a procurement, supply chain, or commercial support role within fresh produce 
• Strong understanding of fresh produce supply chains, seasonality, and stock flow
• Experience working with growers, suppliers, and logistics teams
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across multiple departments
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with data and reporting
• Experience using ERP systems
• A proactive and team-focused approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
