Fresh People are partnering with a well-established, independent accountancy and advisory firm in East Kent, recognised for delivering high-quality services across audit, tax, corporate finance, and business advisory.

As part of continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to work closely with the M&A and Client Services Manager, supporting the firm’s expansion strategy and strengthening its client base.

This is a highly visible, commercially focused role where you will play a key part in identifying opportunities, winning new business, and developing long-term client relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Develop relationships with:
    • Business owners
    • SMEs
    • Professional introducers (lawyers, banks, IFAs)
  • Work closely with the M&A team to support deal origination and pipeline development
  • Engage with existing clients to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Represent the firm at networking events, industry forums, and client meetings
  • Support proposal development and pitch presentations
  • Track and report on business development activity and pipeline

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, or Relationship Management role
  • Background within:
    • Professional services (accountancy, legal, corporate finance) OR
    • B2B relationship-led environments
  • Strong network and ability to build relationships at senior level
  • Commercially driven with a track record of generating opportunities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset
