Job Description – Senior Tax Adviser
Fresh People are working with a highly respected, independent chartered accountancy and advisory firm based in Canterbury, known for delivering tailored tax and business solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Tax Adviser to join their established and forward-thinking tax team. This role offers a blend of advisory and compliance work, with a strong emphasis on delivering commercially focused tax solutions to clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing both corporate and/or personal tax advisory services
- Deliver high-quality tax planning and structuring advice
- Review complex tax computations and returns
- Provide guidance on areas including:
- Corporate restructuring
- Shareholder planning
- Capital gains tax
- Inheritance tax planning
- Business succession
- Support Partners on advisory projects and transactions
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Mentor and support junior members of the tax team
Requirements
- Professionally qualified – CTA (CIOT) preferred
- ICAEW / ACA qualified candidates also considered, particularly with strong tax exposure
- Proven experience within a practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge across corporate and/or personal tax
- Demonstrable experience in advisory-led work (not purely compliance)
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing capability
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities
