Are you an experienced Quality Controller with a background in warehouse operations within the fresh produce sector? We are seeking a Warehouse QC to join a leading fresh produce business based near Sevenoaks, Kent, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect all inbound deliveries, checking product condition, temperature, packaging, and compliance with specifications.
- Carry out regular stock quality checks in the warehouse, ensuring correct stock rotation and highlighting any issues.
- Verify that outgoing goods are in suitable condition and meet customer requirements before dispatch.
- Accurately record findings and update quality records and internal systems.
- Report non-conformances promptly and support the Warehouse/Quality Manager with corrective actions.
- Work closely with warehouse colleagues and technical teams to maintain high standards of product quality and food safety.
- Ensure compliance with company food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards across the warehouse.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in a warehouse-based QC role within fresh produce or other perishable goods.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, storage conditions, and product rotation.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot and escalate quality issues.
- Good communication and teamwork skills with the confidence to liaise across departments.
- IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience of updating QC/warehouse systems.
- A proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach with the ability to work under pressure.
