Transport Yard Marshall / Supervisor
Are you a safety-focused, hands-on professional with experience managing a busy transport yard? We’re looking for a proactive Transport Yard Supervisor to take charge of daily yard operations, ensuring the safe movement of HGVs and vehicles while upholding high standards of communication and compliance.?? Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and monitor the safe movement of vehicles and HGVs in and out of the yard and loading bays.
- Act as lead transport marshall, guiding vehicles to prevent accidents and ensure yard efficiency.
- Liaise effectively with drivers, transport planners, and warehouse teams to maintain smooth operations.
- Enforce all yard safety procedures and report incidents or near misses promptly.
- Control yard access to prevent unauthorised entry and maintain security.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Support traffic flow during peak delivery/collection times.
- Carry out general yard duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Transport Yard Supervisor, Traffic Marshal, Banksman or similar role.
- Solid understanding of health & safety procedures in a busy transport or logistics environment.
- Confident communicator with a calm, assertive presence.
- Safety-conscious, reliable, and highly organised..
