Ripening Assistant
Fresh people are currently recruiting for a Ripening Assistant for our Client a Fresh produce leader based over 2 sites in the Sittingbourne location in Kent , in this role you will assist with the control and maintenance of flow of Fresh Products throughout the ripening process on behalf of our client and their customers
The Candidate
Must have a minimum of 2 years working in Fresh produce preferably as you will need to have an understanding if fruit controls and processes. With Microsoft Office skills and excel to inter mediate level you will be challenging deadline, have excellent planning and organisational skills , results focused with a great team working ethic . Must have transport to get to both sites .
Main Responsibilities:
- AM and PM pressure checks
- Process checks for protocols; ice monitor, capacity tracker
- Liaise with customers for daily ripening updates and any special requirements
- Daily checks on Smart Harvest to ensure ripening systems management is adhered to
- Complete and send daily ripening guide
- Daily loading of ripeners against customer forecast
- Maintain accurate ripening records
- Update customers on quality of fruit and any concerns about defects progressing during the ripening process
