Quality Manager – People
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager for our client in Fresh Produce ,This role is crucial to ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality produce by effectively managing the people, processes, and data associated with the quality operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality processes with soft fruit , have exceptional people management skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards in fresh produce whilst focusing on the people predominantly within the business. Team Leadership & Management
– Lead, manage, and develop a team of quality professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
– Ensure the quality team is well-trained, motivated, and equipped to meet the company’s quality standards.
– Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans for team member
Scheduling & Resource Allocation
– Develop and manage the work schedules of the quality team to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
– Adjust schedules in response to production needs, ensuring that quality checks are conducted in a timely and effective manner.
People & Organizational Management
– Organize the activities and responsibilities within the quality team, ensuring clarity in roles and effective communication.
– Serve as the primary point of contact for all personnel-related issues within the quality team, including conflict resolution and HR coordination.
– Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the quality department.
Data Management & Reporting
– Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of quality data to ensure accurate and actionable insights.
– Utilize quality data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
– Ensure that all quality data is documented and stored in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Quality Process Understanding
– Possess an in-depth understanding of the quality processes specific to fresh produce within berries specifically, including inspection, grading, and compliance with industry standards.
– Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, operations) to ensure quality processes align with overall business objectives.
