Product Manager – Salads
Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Salads Product Manager for our Client a Fresh Produce Business based in Sittingbourne . In this role you will be supporting the Commercial, Technical and Procurement teams to maintain relationships between our growers, operational staff and suppliers , to ensure customer demand is met .
The Person
If you have worked in a QA or Quality Supervisor role previously and are looking for an opportunity to work as a Product Manager this could be the perfect role for you Formed over 40 years ago, DPS LTD has grown .
- Working independently but in partnership with the service provision teams; highlight quality issues and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in management of salads through the facilities.
- Organize samples and trials and if required be involved with any sampling of new varieties or packaging.
- Engage with any customer site visits as required.
- Manage and monitor on site shelf for all products reporting any failures back to the Technical Manager.
- Take active involvement in decision making in the daily production meeting, weekly availability meeting and weekly senior team meeting.
- Effectively liaise and communicate on day to day quality issues
- Project a positive image to colleagues, site workers, customers, and suppliers in all interactions
- Ensure regular and ongoing feedback to suppliers and your colleagues on product quality to allow for continuous improvement.
- Effectively liaise and communicate on day-to-day quality issues with the Production where required.
- Effectively liaise and communicate on day-to-day quality issues with the Commercial, Packaging, Compliance, Technical and Product Management Teams where required.
- Report any hygiene, machine, or other site concerns to the site production manager.
- Ensure that the customers required quality standards are understood and effectively maintained and communicated.
- Through continuous improvement facilitate and support the development of improvement processes to deliver improved KPI performance
