We are recruiting for a Product Manager to join a leading business in the fresh produce sector based in Linton, Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a business that supplies top-tier UK retailers and prides itself on quality and service.
This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, working 4 days Friday through to Monday with 3 days off in the week. You’ll be at the heart of operations, supporting the flow of berries from farm to fork – ensuring quality and consistency across the supply chain.
- Supporting the Commercial, Technical, and Procurement teams in managing berry supply and quality.
- Collaborating with growers, pickers, and packers to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Working closely with the ISS teams to identify and report on quality issues and continuous improvements.
- Managing samples, shelf-life assessments, and product trials (including packaging and new varieties).
- Taking part in daily production meetings, weekly availability meetings, and senior team discussions.
- Hosting or supporting customer site visits as needed.
- Providing regular feedback to suppliers and internal teams on product performance.
- Acting as a liaison between production, technical, and commercial functions to resolve quality concerns.
- Stepping in to cover colleagues during holidays or absences.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience within the fresh produce sector, ideally in berries, soft fruit, or stone fruit.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident in decision-making and capable of working independently as well as part of a wider team.
- Highly organized and proactive, with a keen eye for detail and quality standards.
- Flexible to adapt to a fast-paced environment with seasonal peaks and customer demands.
