Packaging & Consumables Purchasing Controller
Are you highly organised with skills in managing stock and supplier relationships? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is key? We’re looking for a Packaging & Consumables Purchasing Controller to join a leading business within the fresh produce sector.
What you’ll be doing:
- Procuring packaging and consumables in line with production and sales forecasts.
- Managing packaging stock – from intake through to production availability.
- Liaising with suppliers, internal teams, and the warehouse to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Ensuring accurate record keeping, system updates, and physical stock checks.
- Leading and coaching label room staff, including performance reviews and training.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to reduce packaging waste and enhance operations.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a procurement or packaging control role, ideally within food, FMCG, or fresh produce.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
- Comfortable with systems such as Microsoft Excel and/or Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar.
- Monday to Friday schedule
