About the Opportunity

Fresh People are working with a leading fresh produce business based in Maidstone Kent, to recruit an experienced ICT Project Manager to join their established IT function.This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a range of technology projects within a fast-paced, forward-thinking business that continues to invest in innovation and growth.The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering a variety of IT and infrastructure projects ensuring that each one is delivered on time, within scope, and to budget.You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, manage project risks, and provide regular reporting and transparency throughout the delivery process.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project teams to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to minimise disruption.
  • Communicate progress and updates effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Monitor budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed standards and quality requirements.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.

About You

You’ll be a confident, organised, and technically minded project manager with a strong ability to lead teams and communicate effectively across all business levels, working across the offices and packhouses, face to face interacton with users is a requirement for this role so must be Kent based as this role is not remote working 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an IT or ICT Project Manager, ideally in software development, infrastructure, or enterprise-level projects.
  • Ideally experience of working in the Fresh produce Industry or Food Manufacturing previously. 
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • PRINCE2, PMP, or other recognised certifications are advantageous.
